Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is the President and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and was raised as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and went on to own the Lakers as well as several other companies in the field of sports. Their relationship ended in 1972, which caused her to feel like she was neglected. Her family's business was started at the age of 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she established her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President of the Lakers. Buss was the inheritor of Lakers ownership Lakers from her father in the year 2013. Five siblings of hers took over the franchise through an estate trust. she assumed the duties of the head of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also a co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered at Los Angeles.
