Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his signature style. She has performed on Broadway as well as during the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta but her origins are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop a musical career performing and singing in a church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B culture. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of notice during the four performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
