Aaliyah Dana Haaughton gained fame after releasing her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a Number in 1994. The singer was barely fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring her into the spotlight. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew, the single that was most popular. Following the debut of the album Aaliyah received international recognition for her performance as an R&B artist. Aaliyah appeared alongside famous martial artist Jet-Li Romeo Must Die (2000) the action and romantic film. Her role came about when she was spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards event. In 2002, she was able to be part of the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was based on Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. In 2003, she was as a character in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The performer received four Grammy nominations in 1999 2001 2002 and 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. The actress is the very first generation of Indian-American to be born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. It is an abbreviation for Mankad her surname when she married. However, she uses both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for professional name. Though she started her career by playing minor film and television parts, her acting career started to gain speed in the late 2000s. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. Her commercials have featured big brands, like Volvo. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to perform as an actor.
